The answer is in your documents. Cuebright finds it while you're still on the call.
Cuebright transcribes your calls on your Mac, answers questions from the documents you give it while you talk, and writes the summary and action items when you hang up. Nothing leaves your computer.
Apple silicon, macOS 13 or later
No. EU data residency (Frankfurt) is included on Fleet Enterprise only. Growth customers are hosted in the US.
How it works
Answers while you talk
Cuebright transcribes both sides of the call as it happens. When a question comes up, it finds the answer in your documents and shows you where it came from.
- Works with any call app on your Mac: Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and more
- Says plainly when your documents don't cover something
- A talk-ratio meter shows how much you're speaking
Summary and next steps
When the call ends, Cuebright writes a summary and pulls out the action items. Send any of them to Reminders with one click.
- Full transcript, searchable later
- Or "Summary only": the transcript is erased once the summary is written
- Notes and meetings grouped by account
A knowledge base you control
Add your pricing sheets, product specs, contracts and FAQs. Ask questions any time with ⌘K, or let Cuebright pick them up during calls.
- PDF, Word, RTF and plain text
- Every answer names the document it used
- Imports run in the background and pause during calls
Your calls stay on your Mac
Everything runs locally. Transcription, search and the answer models all run on your Mac. Your audio, transcripts and documents are never uploaded anywhere.
Audio is deleted after processing. Cuebright keeps the transcript, summary and action items, and removes the recording once they're made.
Consent comes first. Before recording starts, Cuebright asks you to confirm the other person knows the call is being recorded. Recording laws differ by place; you're responsible for following the ones that apply to you.
Cuebright only goes online to check for updates and to download model updates.

Good to know
Cuebright is early software. Here is what it doesn't do yet.
- Built for one-on-one callsThe transcript labels two sides, you and them. If several people join from the other end, they all appear as one speaker.
- English onlyTranscription and answers work in English. Other languages, and loud background noise, can come out as made-up English text.
- Headphones recommendedWith speakers, your microphone also hears the other person. Cuebright filters most of it, but a few stray words can appear in your side of the transcript, and words can be missed when you talk over each other. Headphones give the cleanest transcript; you can switch call audio to them from the Live panel.
- Calls up to about two hoursLonger calls aren't tested yet. The summary and action items arrive a few minutes after the call ends; longer calls take longer.
- Answers come only from your documentsCuebright doesn't search the web. When your documents don't cover a question, it says so. Answers can still be wrong, so check anything important against the source document it names.
- 8 GB Macs use a lighter answer modelAnswers are a little less accurate than on 16 GB Macs. When Cuebright isn't sure an answer fits your question, it labels it "May not answer your question".
Install
- Download the installer with the button above. It's 4.9 GB, so it can take a while.
- Open the installer from your Downloads folder and follow the steps.
- Open Cuebright from Applications. macOS asks for the permissions it needs, such as the microphone.
- Add a few documents to the knowledge base, then start your next call from the Live panel.
